This week in Caterpillars Class we…
- In the lead up to World Book Day, we have been looking at the book ‘We’re Going On a Bear Hunt.’ The children worked together to make a map for us to follow and see if we can find the bear.
The children used the book as inspiration for the drawings they did. Each one picked a different area and we spoke about how we would feel walking through the different climates. - The children helped us to find and create a den for the Bear to live in. We spoke about what kind of environment they thought a bear would live in. They suggested that the bear would have a bed made of leaves and we painted the den brown. They used their gross motor skills, using lots of different types of equipment to cover the den with the paint. The children all took turns very nicely and shared the different rollers and brushes. each other.
- The children have loved doing some very exciting arts and crafts in the lead up to Mother’s Day. They have been very excited creating cards to show their love.
- On Thursday we had fun on ‘World Book Day’. It was lovely to see everyone dressed up and looking amazing.
