This week in Caterpillars Class we…
- The children really enjoyed the colour mixing potions tray. They took turns using the pipettes and seeing what happened when you added different amounts of different colours together.
- The Caterpillars have been looking at magnets and how they work. They counted how many different types of magnets they had and how many they could fit together at once.
- The children made their own jam sandwiches. They listened to what they were going to do and the safety rules that go with knives. They all listened very carefully and took turns spreading the jam and cutting up their sandwiches before taking them home.
- In the Caterpillars class they had a pizza tuff tray. Using playdough and cornflour, the children made their tomato sauce and toppings to add to their pizza.
- The children have really been enjoying working together as a team to make different buildings with the construction blocks.
- The children have been working really hard on their fine motor skills and enjoy anything with food. They really enjoyed peeling different vegetables for their roleplay area.
