Caterpillars Nursery Newsletter – 18/6/2026

This week in Caterpillars Class we…

  • The Caterpillars class loved their post office role play this week. They loved posting letters through the letter box, wrapping up parcels and working on their cutting and sticking.
  • The children wrote letters to their loved ones using feathers as their tools. We then walked round to the post office to buy some stamps and post the letters home.
  • For the World Cup the Caterpillars class decorated their own football shirts. They picked out their favourite number and wrote their names on the back.
  • The children helped to make a Victoria sponge cake. They took turns pouring in the ingredients and mixing them all together.
  • We have been working on our positional language this week. The children enjoyed being able to physically move the animal they picked out to the position that we were speaking about.
