Ladybirds Class Newsletter – 18/6/2026

This week in Ladybirds Class we…

  • The Ladybirds really enjoyed the ball roll activity this week. They loved scooping up the water and the coloured balls and racing each other to see who could get the balls down the ramp the quickest.
  • We had our roleplay area set up as a BBQ this week and the children really enjoyed serving up different meals to each other and the teachers. We spoke about how BBQs get very hot and what we can do to make sure we stay safe and using tongs to cook with.
  • Out in the garden the children made lemon soup. They used their hands to squeeze the lemon juice out of the lemon and did tipping and pouring into different containers.
  • For snack one day this week the children made their own salad bowls. They used small tongs to pick up the different vegetables and place them into their bowls. In a small group activity, Miss Kaci set up a game for the children to play. They had to use straws to move the balls and direct them into the cup.
  • The children really enjoyed it being a competition and something that they could work to try and win.
  • Each of the children made their own football T-shirts and decorated them how they would like after looking at flags from different countries. They then got to wear these home with their name and number on the back.
