This week in Caterpillars Class we…
- This week we were looking at the season Autumn. We used a lot of natural resources in our activities.
We did a mark making activity with conkers, leaves and pine cones to see what kind of marks they made. - We also worked on our fine motor skills with some vegetable cutting and hammering nails into them. The children showed good concentration being careful as they used the knives and the hammers.
- The children loved our vegetable soup activity. They used the vegetables that they had cut up themselves, we then added different coloured water for them to explore what happened to the Autumn veggies.
- The children made Autumn wreaths. They used PVA glue & stuck on the leaves that they chose from the garden. They enjoyed talking about how each of them picked their own leaves and what made them different to each others.
