Last week in Caterpillars Class we…
- The week our theme has been looking at houses and homes. The children explored a tuff tray based on the 3 little pigs. They explored the straw, sticks and the bricks and worked together to think of ways they could potentially make the houses stronger. They used playdough to stick the bricks together and used string to tie the sticks and the straws together.
- They have also loved getting creative with the junk modelling. They created their own homes out of different boxes and toilet rolls. They got to work on their scissor control by cutting out the windows and doors and sticking them to the houses.
- On Friday morning we had Boogie Beats. This week we went to the vets and met lots of different animals on the way, all with different instructions on how to move our bodies to get to the vets.
- We have also been looking at different animals and what their homes may look like. We talked about the different habitats that animals can live in and what they have in common.
