This week in Ladybirds Class we…
- This week the children loved taking part in a pirate themed Boogie Beats. The children used their listening and attention to make sure that they were following a set of instructions and expressing themselves.
- For the lead up to Valentines Day the children made their own little love hearts. They chose from a range their own materials and decided how they wanted to decorate. We all spoke about the people who are special to and why it is that they are so special.
- This week we have spent a lot of time looking at Lunar New Year. For a lot of our children this is something completely new to them and it was very exciting to look at different celebrations from around the world. We tried new foods, such as spring rolls and prawn crackers and looked at different ways to mark make, such as doing mud paintings. We also watched some videos about how different people celebrate Lunar New Year.
- For pancake day the children each got to decorate their own pancake. The children loved picking out their own fruit and using the different utensils. Each child used a spoon to scoop the honey and the fruit and place them on the pancakes. And of course eating them for snack was very exciting too!
