This week in Ladybirds Class we…
- The Ladybirds made Autumn wreaths this week. The children went outside and found the leaves that each of them wanted to use for their wreath.
Our book of the week was ‘Superworm’ - The children made their own fruit superworms. They each cut their fruit up and chose what they wanted to use.
Outside the children took part in the ‘worm run’. This was to help them make decisions on what they wanted to do and also work on their physical development. They loved getting stuck into the challenge. - The Ladybirds explored the superworm habitat. They used tweezers to pick up each of the worms and move the bugs around the tray.
- They also made their own Autumnal citrus potions. They squeezed each of the oranges out into the water. They used different cups to work on their tipping and pouring.
- The Ladybirds made their own clay ‘superworms’. They used the rolling pins to roll out the size that they wanted and then made a face on the front of them. They used scissors to cut little bits off and their hands to mould the shape.
