Summer Term Newsletter – Staff Update & term ahead

Welcome Back

As we step into the final half of the summer term, I wanted to share some important updates with you regarding our team.

First, I want to let you know that after 6 years at Caterpillars Miss Kerrie has made the decision to move into a different area within the Early Years sector. While we’re incredibly sad to be saying goodbye, we’re also proud and supportive of her next steps.

Miss Kerrie isn’t leaving us just yet — she will continue working part-time until the end of the Summer term. I’d like to take this opportunity to say a heartfelt thank you to her for her dedication, care and leadership in her role as Senior Leader. She has made a lasting impact on our team and the children.

Looking ahead, I’m excited to share that after the half term break, will be welcoming a new member of our leadership team.
Miss Eve has been appointed as our new Deputy Manager and will be gradually introducing herself to you and  the children over the coming weeks. We are thrilled to have her join our team and bring her experience and energy to the setting.

We are very much looking forward to welcoming the children back on Monday and can’t wait to hear all about their half term adventures.

Our plans for this week

If you would like to have a school sibling photograph you are invited in at 8.10 for a photos ( please speak to Becky if you would like to do this).

This week we’ll be taking a closer look at different areas of the world and exploring a variety of terrains — from rain forests to sandy deserts. It’s a wonderful way to build curiosity, language, and a sense of global awareness.

This week we’re flying into a Superhero theme! The children are loving role play and creative activities, this week will be based around bravery, kindness, and imagination. Our number of the week is 2 and the colour of the week is Red — perfect for our mini heroes in action.
