Ladybirds Class Newsletter – 3/7/2026

This week in Ladybirds Class we…

  • This week the Ladybirds have been looking at the book The Rainbow Fish. The children really enjoyed the fishing tuff tray where they had to use their hand eye coordination to catch the fish on the magnetic hook.
  • We went for a walk to Tadworth Tyres with a thank you card and gift for letting us look around the motorbikes last week.
The children made their own rainbow fish using CDs. They added sequins and gems onto them to make them sparkle in the sun. Each child picked out what they wanted their CD fish to look like.
  • We went round in a circle and spoke about what made us happy. It was so lovely to hear everyone’s favourite things and why they make them happy.
  • One of our tuff trays this week the children used pipettes to make their own giant rainbow fish. They had to figure out how the pipettes worked and how they needed to move their fingers to squeeze the paint out. We also spoke about the different colours that we could see.
  • For our display board each child made their own colourful scale to create a rainbow fish.
