Caterpillars Nursery Newsletter – 3/7/2026

This week in Caterpillars Class we…

  • This week the children have been looking at some different emotions. They drew different pictures to show how they looked when they were feeling different ways and also made some stress balloons to help to feel calm if they ever feel upset.
  • We did some name recognition using glitter. The children poured glitter onto pre glued names. They then took their turn to write their names themselves using glue.
  • Out in the mud garden the children have enjoyed being helpful with cleaning .They rinsed and washed all the pots and pans from the mud kitchen, making sure each one was spotlessly clean before moving onto the next one!
  • As some of our children get ready for the next chapter into school we have been looking schools in our roleplay area. The children have loved taking it in turns to be the teachers, doing little lessons and circle times and packing their school bags.
  • The children also really enjoyed the teddy bears picnic tuff tray. Counting the bears and mixing different textures together to see what they turned out like. They loved getting a little bit messy.
