This week in Caterpillars Class we…
- This week the Caterpillars made a pizza for everyone in the nursery to share. They took turns handmaking their dough and rolling it out. Then they chose what topping were going on. We spoke about the different textures that changed when making the dough.
- We created some salt dough flower pictures. The children made their own salt dough and then picked their own flowers from the garden.
- We have been looking and working on our scissor skills and how we use scissors. Working hard at using one hand to cut.
- We have been looking at different shapes and patterns and what they have in common. The children created their own patterns using masking tape and then painted over them to reveal a lovely print.
- We have been working on fine motor skills by using tweezers to retrieve small items out of playdough. The children have worked their way up to using the more difficult tweezers to work their hand muscles.
