This week in Ladybirds Class we…
- This week we have been looking at the book ‘Maisy goes camping’ and learning how to put a tent up and toast marshmallows.
- The children made some binoculars and went on a bug hunt out in the garden. They used different colours of tissue and we spoke about the different names of them. We also experimented what happened when we mixed two different colours together.
- This week we had a special visit from Miss Alex. She explored lots of new and exciting resources with us and we had a lovely group session exploring them.
- The children loved exploring our camping role play this week. Pretending to cook different things on the bonfire and sleeping under the stars in the tent and using torches to investigate shadows.
- We enjoyed playing with the bonfire tuff tray. Using shaving foam as marshmallows and practising our fire safety. We also threaded cheerios onto different sticks to work on fine motor skills.
