This week in Ladybirds Class we…
- Over the half term our Caterpillars had transformed into butterflies. So we found a lovely part of the garden to set them free. All 9 butterflies flew off happily!
- We have been looking at the book ‘Elmer the Elephant’ this week. The children created their own ‘Elmer’ using milk bottles and then tried drawing their own picture adding lots of different colours as they went along.
- The Ladybirds really enjoyed exploring the Elmer tuff tray. We worked on colour recognition and what the different textures felt like.
- We made elephant biscuits. The children took turns mixing all of the ingredients together and also using their hands. Then they picked an elephant cutter and cut their own biscuits out.
