This week in Caterpillars Class we…
- The children made everyone some homemade lemonade. They used the lemon squeezers to squeeze the juice out of each of the lemons. We spoke about how lemons tasted and what we needed to add sugar to make it taste nicer. Everyone then sat down and all had a drink together to cool off.
- As the weather has been so hot this week, we took full advantage and created a water slide out in the playground. Each child waited their turn to go down the slippery slide and cheered each other on.
- In the classroom we have been talking a lot about our feelings and why we feel certain ways at certain times. Each of the children drew their own self portrait using mirrors and we all spoke about our similarities and our differences.
- This week has been all about giving back to people. We made some bread rolls that we then gave to the bin collectors to say thankyou.
- We also sat down and spoke about how important recycling is. We looked at different types of rubbish and spoke about how we know when we can recycle something or not.
