This week in Caterpillars Class we…
- The children have really enjoyed looking at treasure chests this week. The children cut and stuck their own treasure chests, sticking different items that they wanted to add to it. We were focusing on the correct way to hold the scissors and describing them as crocodiles.
- We had a cake mixing tuff tray. The children loved reading the ingredients and adding them into their bowls. They took turns making up stories of what flavour their cake was going to be and who it was for.
- We have been looking at the ‘Mr Wolf’s Pancakes’ story this week. We took the children outside and they practised flipping their own pancakes using balloons.
- The children have really enjoyed the Pizza role play area this week. They made their own pizzas using wraps and peppers to decorate.
- This week our caterpillars arrived. The children enjoyed talking about what happens to them and the process of them becoming butterflies.
- When the children made playdough, they used visual instructions to read what they needed to do.
